Biography
The work of Jamel Armand is an ode to the purity and aesthetics of faded civilisations. His paintings are depictions of tribal people, capturing their spirits in his own loving and meaningful way.
Jamel senses a deep connection with his Indonesian roots and the tribes he might have belonged to in a past live. He is honouring them by painting their portraits, showing the beauty and pride they uphold despite their suffering.
