Opening Thursday 2 April, between 6pm and 9pm.
Dinodo Studio and GHD is proud to present Ride to Heaven, a collaborative series with Julien Jaca, where Eastern hand-knotted craft meets Western biker symbolism. In this series, Jaca reimagines the biker jacket - long a symbol of rebellion, protection, and identity - through the delicate yet enduring medium of hand-knotted rugs. Stripped of its function as armor for the body, the jacket becomes a new kind of skin for the home, inviting reflection on how meaning shifts when form and context change.
Each rug transforms Jaca’s bold, intuitive gestures into a permanent, tactile surface. What was once worn to face the road is now laid down to ground a space, turning fleeting experience into something enduring. By placing rebellion underfoot, the collection explores how symbols survive, migrate, and gain new meaning, carrying memory, myth, and the human desire to leave a mark.
Through Ride to Heaven, Dinodo Studio and Jaca create more than rugs—they craft a dialogue between movement and stillness, individuality and shared space, transforming a cultural icon into a vessel of reflection and presence.
